Designs and prototypes of the ‘Pyrosphere’ wood/coal (multifuel) stove.
Made from laser-cut steel. Fins greatly increase the heating surface area and promote convection currents around the stove. Primary airflow is under the cast iron grate. Secondary air is through radial holes around the door, providing airwash for the glass. Output is estimated at 6kW. The fins were measured at up to 450°C during testing.
Finish of the photographed prototype is rusted steel with high temperature lacquer.
Dimensions 450mm x 450mm x 500mm high.
