Combining CNC plasma cutting with hot forge work gives huge freedom to produce interesting forms which would otherwise be highly time consuming and expensive to produce.

In this particular design, heavy forge work towards the tops of the uprights gives the impression of the grilles having rusted and disintegrated over time. More geometric forms towards the bottom are made in such a way that shapes are revealed when the grilles are viewed from an angle. As one walks past the grilles these shapes will appear and disappear. Forms referencing the original use of the building could be incorporated into these shapes.
